This band includes a broad range of entry level Para-professionals and office support staff. These positions are non exempt positions located in the designated confidential offices or off-campus locations. Jobs include those that are secretarial in nature that require a degree of independence to respond to requests, troubleshoot, and resolve issues pertaining to assigned duties. Employees serve as the primary support staff person for work area, department or unit, coordinate and supervise student employees; answer inquiries and conduct problem solving for internal and external contacts on issues directly related to work unit. The majority of effort is spent typing, making arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel, developing and/or composing correspondence and maintaining records such as payroll, expenditures and status of accounts. Educational background is acquired through the completion of High School or equivalent and on-the-job-training.
High School or equivalent work experience and two years of secretarial experience of a qualifying nature which includes word processing experience and a required typing speed of 60 wpm.
