Pay Band 4

Jobs in this band have responsibility for the management and supervision of units/areas with a specialized focus.  They may be referred to as level I manager positions.  Also included in the P&A-4 band are unique or specialized P&A positions where market data and job responsibilities warrant classifying at a P&A-4 level.

 

This band includes jobs with assistant director or associate director responsibilities for the management, supervision or coordination of specialized areas such as payroll, career services, patient services, charter schools, academic assistance, legal assistance, building services, specialized areas financial aid, admissions, registrar's office, long distance learning, fund raising and marketing programs.  Project management skills, specialized knowledge or technical expertise are applied to the management of the unit.

 

Responsibilities are primarily directed towards ensuring the unit/area is functioning effectively and responding to changing needs.  Planning and evaluation of unit services extend beyond system maintenance to the solution of managerial problems/issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor degree in related field and four to five years professional experience that is directly related administrative management responsibilities of the position.
