Degree Progress is a guide to achieve your academic goals. It describes the degree requirements and gives options of courses selected to meet them. It is your responsibility to schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to review your degree progress and map your coursework to graduation. This should be done as early in your course of study as possible — if at all possible, prior to enrolling in courses. If you decide to take coursework before reviewing graduation requirements, that coursework may not be applicable to the course of study you wish to pursue.
Your academic advisor can assist you in understanding requirements for graduation during your first welcome advising appointment. Further, academic advisors are here to assist in creating a semester-by-semester map which will help you determine which courses to take each semester and your expected graduate date. Finally, you will want to schedule a Degree Progress Check-In with an advisor as you approach graduation to ensure you are on track to graduate.
