$500 for select transfer students to CMU programs offered online and at satellite centers
- Are you a newly admitted undergraduate transfer student to a CMU online or satellite center based program beginning in spring semester 2019?
- Do you have an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form between 0 and $12,000?
- Will you enroll at least halftime, six credits or more, in the spring 2019 semester?
If you answered yes to all these questions, you qualify for the CMU Opportunity Grant, a nonrenewable award of $500 for the spring 2019 semester that begins in January.
To be considered for this grant, you must file your FAFSA as soon as possible. The FAFSA is available online at
fafsa.ed.gov. CMU's school code is 002243. The FAFSA determines your EFC.
Claiming your Opportunity Award
There is no form to fill out for this award. The grant will be given to you automatically if you meet the criteria listed above and have your FAFSA information sent to CMU.
If you meet all the required criteria, your $500 Opportunity Award will be listed on your spring semester 2019 financial aid package from CMU.
