Credit Applicability, Tuition, Grades and Withdrawals

Credit Applicability

Depending on your state's requirements, you may be able to use CMU credit for professional development programs to meet certificate renewal or state continuing education requirements. Since acceptance varies by state, you should contact your state's Department of Education to verify the course will count toward licensure/certificate renewal before enrolling for credit.

If you are pursuing an advanced degree, consult first with your academic advisor to verify the course will apply to your program.

Grades

CMU does not mail grades to students. After your course ends, you may access your grades on CentralLink with your Global ID and password. CentralLink allows you to print a copy of your grades.

To view your grades:

  • Log into CentralLink
  • Click on My Account.
  • Under Academics, click on View My Grades.
  • Select the academic year (CMU’s academic year runs Fall – Summer).
  • Select the term: Spring, Summer or Fall.
  •  Select your level: Graduate or Undergraduate.

For your convenience, CentralLink can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Family Rights and Privacy Act does not allow us to release a student’s grade to a third party without a written request.

Incomplete/deferred grades

In the event you are unable to complete requirements for a course and you receive an incomplete or deferred grade, your instructor will need to complete a Statement of Requirements for Removal of Incomplete or Deferred Grades. This form will outline the requirements and timeframe for you to complete the course work and obtain a grade. The University Incomplete Grade Policy states that an incomplete grade not removed within one year shall become the student’s final grade.

Withdrawals and/or refunds

Requests for withdrawals and/or refunds for site-based classes must be submitted in writing via mail, fax or e-mail.
