Hannah Austin

Academic Year: Junior

Major: Communication Sciences and Disorders Minor : Psychology

Bio: I am the oldest of three siblings. I have two amazing Golden Retrievers named Gus and Willow at home, and I miss them at school.

What is your favorite thing about the Library? The Library is the perfect place to study. It provides a great atmosphere to be able to focus on learning material. The Library is also important for providing supplemental material I need for my classes, such as books and peer- reviewed articles.

Favorite Book: Harry Potter Series: The Order of the Phoenix

Favorite Library Services for Academic Success: I use study spaces, double screen computers, printing, and Documents on Demand to help with my  academic success.

Megan Chrisman

Academic Year: Senior

Major: Recreation and Events Management

Bio:  I am an energic runner who loves to do marathons. I am a girl that would rather be outside acting like a kid being wild and free.

What is your favorite thing about the Library? The library is important to my success because it is a quiet place where you can get homework done.

Favorite Book: The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks

Favorite Library Services for Academic Success: I use printing because it is quick, cheap, and reliable.

Zachary Claypool

Academic Year: Freshman

Major: Biomedical Sciences

Bio: I'm in the Science and Engineering Residential College. I love to volunteer and help people whenever I can.

What is your favorite thing about the Library? The library is important to my success because it is a quiet place where you can get homework done.

Favorite Book: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Favorite Library Services for Academic Success: The computers at the Library because they are a great backup just in case my computer crashes, or the Math Assistance Center because math can be difficult.

Mark Anthony Davis

Academic Year: Senior

Major: Math and History in Secondary Education

Bio: I play a little piano and guitar, nature hikes are the bomb, and I collect so many old books, that I'm always running out of shelves to put them on.

What is your favorite thing about the Library? The Library has always had a spot for me to study, as well as a place to meet with friends and colleagues when study gets tough.

Favorite Book: It has to be Barnes and Noble's version of The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle!

Favorite Library Services for Academic Success: The Extended Hours Study room. It's huge for providing a quiet space to read up on my homework!

Jessica Hull

Academic Year: Senior

Major: Political Science and Gender Studies

Bio: I am really passionate about all things human rights. Also I love animals.

What is your favorite thing about the Library? The library is much more than a place to study or to check out books. We have so many different resources to help students!

Favorite Book: I am really digging the Red Rising Trilogy by Pierce Brown right now.

Favorite Library Services for Academic Success: I mostly use the printing because I don't own a printer or have access to one anywhere else. ​

Marcus Van Arkel

Academic Year: Junior

Major: Logistics Management

Bio: I am involved in 3 other RSOs: Phi Delta Theta, Best Buddies, SAP Student Users Group. I am a founding father of Phi Delta Theta.

What is your favorite thing about the Library? The library is special because it is a separate place from everywhere on campus where you can study and thrive while your peers are.

Favorite Book: Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek.

Favorite Library Services for Academic Success: I use the study spaces the most. My RSOs utilize the Strosacker and Auditorium spaces and I use many of the different study spaces like the Copeland Suite.

Leslee Weible

Academic Year: Sophomore

Major: Electrical Engineering

Bio: I am from a little town in Pennsylvania. I am part of the Honors Program.

What is your favorite thing about the Library? I use the study areas and printing the most.

Favorite Book: 13 Little Blue Envelopes

Favorite Library Services for Academic Success: The library is important for success because it gives everyone access to technology and information that can help to enhance your education here.

Kerigan Williams

Academic Year: Senior

Major: English Literature, Language, and Writing with a Creative Writing focus and a Creative Writing Certificate.

Bio: I love studying language in all forms, whether it is English, German, or Music. I also really love Harry Potter and am really proud of my Hogwarts House.

What is your favorite thing about the Library? The service I use the most is probably Documents on Demand. Having the ability to request any book or article that I need for my paper is really helpful, and I don’t even have to leave my apartment to do it!

Favorite Book: My favorite book of all time is probably Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, but I also love Stardust by Neil Gaiman.

Favorite Library Services for Academic Success: I think that the library has helped me in college by providing a meeting place for group projects. Also, the librarians have been a huge help with finding reputable sources to use for papers.
