  • Horr, Joseph L. Correspondence, 188-1892, to Horr in Dubuque (Iowa) form two former comrades in arms and a widow of a third in Michigan, concerning a reunion of the company and erection of a statue for Gen. Sherman. Bio: Horr served as a Major in the US. 13th Infantry, not a Michigan unit.


  • Newton Family. Family Correspondence, 1812-1924, documents life during the Civil War in Kentucky. Also letter from Dr. G. Ambrose, Jan. 19, 1863, describing hardships. He served in the 85th Indiana Infantry.


  • Riverside, William A. Discharge Certificate, 1865. Bio: Riverside served as a Corporal in Company C, 12th Indiana Cavalry during the Civil War.
