Michigan Newspaper Project

Between 2002 and 2007 The Clarke Historical Library served as the agency responsible for microfilming newspapers under the Michigan Newspaper Project. The microfilming phase of the project was begun in July 2002, after the conclusion of the cataloging of all Michigan newspapers by the Library of Michigan. Both the cataloging and the microfilming phases of the project were funded by grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
