Text of Michigan Related Treaties

At the right are links to each of the treaties signed between Native American tribes and the federal government. In most of these treaties land was ceded by Native Americans to the federal government, which in turn surveyed the land and made it available for purchase or disposed of the land in some other way. These treaties continue to define the legal relationship between the United States of America and the tribal nations whose leaders signed the agreement.
