Requesting Materials​​


Click on the Hold This Item For Me and you will be informed immediately whether or not your request was successful. If available it will be ready for you within 24 hours unless submitted on the weekend. It will be held for you at the book checkout desk located on the 2nd floor of Park Library. If the item is not currently available, you will be given further options.

If the items are available, they will be ready within 24 hours at the Book Checkout Desk located on the 2nd floor of Park Library.

In Person

You may fill out a BOOK REQUEST form at the Book Checkout Desk.

Renewing Materials

Items that have been recalled or have a hold cannot be renewed.


To renew materials online:

  1. Go to the CMU Libraries’ home page -
  2. Click on My Account / Renew Books.
  3. For CMU Users: Enter your Global ID and password.
    For Guest Borrowers: Enter your first name only and date of birth.
  4. Click on Items Currently Checked Out.
  5. Click on the box next to each book you want to renew.
  6. Click on Renew Selected Items.

The barcode numbers of the items will be required

In Person

Bring the items you have checked out and your library card (both are required) to the Book Checkout Desk located on the 2nd floor of Park Library.
