Search underway for new CMED senior associate dean

Ten-member committee leads national search

​George Kikano, dean of Central Michigan University’s College of Medicine, has announced a search for the college’s next senior associate dean of research.

The new hire will replace Ed McKee, who will step down from his role effective Jan. 7, 2019, to focus on his faculty role within the college. Executive search firm Grant Cooper is assisting with the search. 

Kikano will chair the 10-member committee. Other committee members are:

  • Dr. Ed McKee, senior associate dean of research.
  • Dr. Neli Ragina, assistant professor.
  • Dr. Cathy Basse, community leader.
  • Cali Clark, director of employment and compensation.
  • Kristen Skiver, human resources consultant.
  • Georgette Russell, assistant dean for faculty and staff affairs.
  • Dr. Fady Moustarah, associate professor.
  • Dr. Sethu Reddy, chair of medical disciplines.
  • Dr. Judy Blebea, associate dean for faculty affairs and faculty development.

The committee plans to review all candidates with the goal of having a senior associate dean starting by January 2019.
