UPDATE: 10:20 a.m. — CMU’s main campus and Global Campus headquarters in Mount Pleasant will reopen for normal operations at 11 a.m. today.
Central Michigan University is delaying operations on its main campus and its Global Campus headquarters in Mount Pleasant until 11 a.m. today, Friday, Feb. 5, due to inclement weather. Classes that begin at 11 a.m. will take place as scheduled.
Employees who work in 24-hour operations or whose services may be needed during the delay should check with their supervisor for specific instructions relative to reporting to work. All other employees are not expected to report to campus until it reopens.
During a delayed opening:
- Residence halls remain open, and residence hall dining facilities and convenience stores within residence halls are open as previously scheduled. Learn more about campus dining locations and hours on CMU Campus Dining's website.
- Services such as University Recreation and Park Library may continue operations or have different hours during a delay or closure. Check departments' webpages for the latest information.
- All other services, including CMU Health and CMU Counseling Services, will reopen when campus reopens.
A decision on the status of the operation of the university beyond 11 a.m. will be made no later than 10 a.m.
