Central Michigan University hosts more than 500 events each year, many of which are free and open to the public. Highlighted events from Thursday, June 25, to Wednesday, July 1, include:

Women's Elite Prospect Lacrosse Camp — Thursday and Friday

Central Michigan University Athletics will host a women's Elite Prospect Lacrosse Camp for 2016-20 graduates that will start at 2 p.m. Thursday and end at noon Friday at the CMU Indoor Athletics Complex. Cost is $160 for commuters and $175 for those staying in residence halls. Register online or call 989-774-2151.

University Theatre presents 'Jerry Finnegan's Sister' — Thursday and Sunday

University Theatre students at Central Michigan University will present "Jerry Finnegan's Sister" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 2 p.m. Sunday in Moore Hall's Bush Theatre. Purchase tickets through CMU Ticket Central, 989-774-3045.

Food Truck Friday lunch — Friday

Central Michigan University Research Corp. will host a Food Truck Friday lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2625 Denison Drive. Local food truck vendors will be present, rain or shine. Some vendors accept credit, but cash is always a safe bet. Contact Elissa Gagne, 989-774-2424.

University Theatre presents 'One Slight Hitch' — Friday

University Theatre students at Central Michigan University will present "One Slight Hitch" at 7:30 p.m. in Moore Hall's Bush Theatre. Purchase tickets through CMU Ticket Central, 989-774-3045.

Summer Music Institute student chamber concerts — Friday

Central Michigan University's School of Music will present free concerts of Summer Music Institute students performing a variety of chamber music pieces from 1 to 2:15 p.m. and from 3 to 4:15 p.m. in the Music Building's Staples Family Concert Hall. Contact John Jacobson, 989-774-3738.

University Theatre presents 'Don't Dress for Dinner' — Saturday

University Theatre students at Central Michigan University will present "Don't Dress for Dinner" at 7:30 p.m. in Moore Hall's Bush Theatre. Purchase tickets through CMU Ticket Central, 989-774-3045.

'Sacrifice and Service: The WWI Experience' exhibit — Saturday

Central Michigan University's College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences and the CMU Museum of Cultural and Natural History will host "Sacrifice and Service: The WWI Experience," a student-designed exhibit, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bohannon Schoolhouse, located on the southwest corner of Preston Street and West Campus Drive. Men's Basketball Team Camp — Saturday and Sunday

Central Michigan University Athletics will host a men's basketball Team Camp for students in ninth through 12th grades that will start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday and end at 3 p.m. Sunday at the CMU Events Center. Students will play a minimum of five highly competitive games officiated by registered officials. Cost is $59 for commuters for both days, $40 for commuters for one day and $99 for those staying in residence halls for both days. A $100 team registration deposit is required. Track and Field Camp — Tuesday and Wednesday

Central Michigan University Athletics will host a Track and Field Camp for students in seventh through 12th grades that will start at 9 a.m. Tuesday and end at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the CMU Indoor Athletics Complex. Athletes will run on different types of terrain, develop personal running strategies and learn about race dynamics. Participants must provide their own shots, discus, vault poles and shoes/spikes. Cost is $110 for commuters and $160 for those staying in residence halls. Register online or call 989-774-2151.

Men's Basketball Elite Camp — Wednesday and Thursday

Central Michigan University Athletics will host a men's basketball Elite Camp for students in seventh through 12th grades that will start at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and end at noon Thursday at the CMU Events Center. Students will receive instruction in an intense, collegiate atmosphere and play against top competitors. Cost is $149 for commuters and $199 for those staying in residence halls.
