Food Truck Friday lunch — Friday
Central Michigan University Research Corp. will host the first Food Truck Friday lunch of the season from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2625 Denison Drive. Local food truck vendors will be present, rain or shine. Some vendors accept credit, but cash is always a safe bet. Contact Elissa Gagne, 989-774-2424.
'Waiting for Mamu' film screening — Wednesday
Central Michigan University Public Broadcasting will host a special screening of the film "Waiting for Mamu" at 7 p.m. in Park Library Auditorium. The film was produced by CMU alumnus Thomas Morgan and tells the story of a woman who rescues children from prisons and legally adopts them. Donations will be accepted to help with the children's immediate needs and benefit Nepal earthquake victims. Call 989-774-3105.
