​​Central Michigan University hosts more than 500 events each year, many of which are free and open to the public. Highlighted events from Thursday, March 12, to Wednesday, March 18, include:

Central Michigan RV Show — Thursday through Saturday

Camping World of Houghton Lake will host the annual Central Michigan RV Show from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday in Finch Fieldhouse. Admission is free. Contact Mike Burnside, 866-536-9814.

'Play with Your Food' children's program — Thursday

The College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences and CMU's Museum of Cultural and Natural History will host "Play with Your Food," a children's program for kindergarteners through sixth graders, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the museum in Rowe Hall. Cost is $2 per person, and prepaid reservations are required. Contact Sheree Hall, 989-774-3829.

Home Builders Association Home Show — Friday through Sunday

The Home Builders Association of Central Michigan will host the annual Home Show from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday in the Indoor Athletic Complex. Admission is $4 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. Contact Carmalina Crisi, 989-775-7747.

Corby Blem to open 'Equinox' exhibit — Monday

Central Michigan University's Park Library will open the free exhibit "Equinox" at 8 a.m. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through April 10. An artist talk by painter Corby Blem will take place at 6 p.m. in Park Library Auditorium, and a reception will follow in the Baber Room. Contact Janet Danek, 989-774-2165.

Asian Artists' Culture Exchange exhibit — Monday through April 10

Central Michigan University's Office of Diversity Education will host a free art exhibit by Japanese master Akira Takei and Chinese American artist Lily Lihting Li Kostrzewa as part of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through April 10 in Bovee University Center 108. A reception and art demonstration with the artists will take place at 5 p.m. March 24. Contact Quentin Davis, 989-774-7318.

Chinese acrobats performance — Monday

Central Michigan University's Multicultural Academic Student Services office will host a free performance by Chinese acrobats as part of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month at 7 p.m. in the Bovee University Center Rotunda. Contact D'Wayne Jenkins, 989-774-3945.

St. Patrick's Day Dinner in residential restaurants — Tuesday

Central Michigan University's campus dining will host a St. Patrick's Day Dinner in all residential restaurants from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Contact Pam Miller, 989-774-7726.

MS Awareness talk — Tuesday

Central Michigan University's Program Board will host CMU staff member and graduate student Dan Digmann and his wife, Jennifer, for a free talk, "Achieving in Spite of Adversity," as part of National Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month at 7 p.m. in the Bovee University Center Rotunda. New Venture Competition workshop — Wednesday

The College of Business Administration's Institute for Entrepreneurship at Central Michigan University will host a New Venture Competition workshop, "Getting Ready for Your Ten-Minute Pitch," from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday in Grawn Hall 150. Contact Brenda Pung, 989-774-3270.

Psychology Advising Night — Wednesday

Central Michigan University's psychology department will host a Psychology Advising Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Bovee University Center 218, 219 and 220. Contact Robin Decker, 989-774-3001.

Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Food Taster — Wednesday

Central Michigan University's Multicultural Academic Student Services office will host a free Asian food taster as part of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month at 7 p.m. in the Bovee University Center Rotunda.
