All 13 students competing for Central Michigan University's Collegiate Delta Epsilon Chi and Distributive Education Clubs of America were finalists in their events at the annual State Career Development conference - a CMU first.
Seven placed in the top three in the state.
In April, all 13 will head to the International Career Development Conference. They will compete in events related to marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
"DECA remains a vital part of career preparation for any business major," said junior Kevin Grazlik, an accounting major. "Being able to apply knowledge you learn in classes to case studies and real-world examples allows a greater degree of confidence in the result of our studies."
