Central Michigan University is hosting its eighth annual Dance United fundraiser for United Way of Gratiot and Isabella Counties at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at McGuirk Arena.
Over the years, CMU faculty, staff and students have contributed more than $900,000 to United Way, more than $200,000 through the Dance United event. The money supports 45 organizations that contribute to building a better life for members of the community. This year's goal is to raise $30,000.
General admission tickets are $10 per adult, $5 for youths 17 and under, and $5 for CMU students.
VIP tickets are $40 and include access to the "Star Lounge" in the atrium from 6-7 p.m. for heavy hors d'oeuvres, live music, silent auction, networking and premier reserved seating for the show.
Both general admission and VIP tickets can be purchased online through Ticket Central, calling 989-774-3045 or at the Kulhavi Events Center from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. General admission tickets also will be available at the event.
