Robert E. Bailey, 74, who this year started his 45th year of teaching
biology in the
College of Science and Engineering at Central Michigan University, died Saturday, April 14, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Alma.
Bailey’s love of teaching was contagious, his colleagues said. He stayed up to date on teaching trends and was never afraid to try something new in the classroom. He was a supportive colleague and friend to faculty, staff and students in the biology department who will miss his wisdom.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at
Lux Funeral Home, 228 W. Center St., St. Louis, Michigan. A memorial service will be held this summer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local STEM camp in Bob’s name.
