Students from all disciplines on Central Michigan University's campus can pitch a business idea to seasoned professionals in a competition similar to the ABC Show "Shark Tank."
CMU's Make-A-Pitch Competition will be held in the Grawn Hall Atrium Dec. 5, 2018. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., and the pitching contest starts at 6 p.m.
To compete, students must prepare a two-minute pitch to showcase their business idea and submit an entry form, which is due by 5 p.m. Nov. 28, 2018.
The competition consists of two rounds of pitching by students, who receive feedback from judges and compete for prizes. For many students, this event serves as a practice round for the New Venture Competition.
Any CMU student with an idea for a business can participate in the competition, and attendance is open to the public.
For those who cannot attend, the final round will be broadcast live on WMHW 91.5 The Mountain and streamed live on Facebook.
