Dale-Elizabeth Pehrsson, dean of the College of Education and Human Services, has been named president of Clarion University of Pennsylvania, effective July 1.
Central Michigan University Provost Michael Gealt said he is exploring options and will make an announcement regarding an interim dean.
Pehrsson has been dean of CEHS since 2012. Her last day will be June 30.
"Dr. Dale has brought renewed energy to the college and its academic programs," Gealt said. "She is a leader who makes progress happen, and I wish her all the best in her new role."
Clarion is part of Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education. It offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs to about 5,200 students.
