Jeffrey Andrew Weinstock, faculty member in English at Central Michigan University and associate editor of "The Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts," has published a new book, "Critical Approaches to 'Welcome to Night Vale': Podcasting Between Weather and the Void."
Weinstock's 138-page book is called the first ever to be published on a particular podcast. The collection of scholarly essays examines the program's themes, form, politics and fanbase. Weinstock is the book's editor and wrote the introduction.
Weinstock specializes in American literature, literary and cultural theory, cultural studies and approaches to popular culture, and the gothic. His latest book contributes to his collection of scholarly publications.
"Welcome to Night Vale" broadcasts twice a month with news updates on the fictional town of Night Vale.
Weinstock's book, published by Palgrave Pivot, is available in hardcover and e-book.
