Carousel takes the stage at CMU

Students and faculty to co-star in a musical of love, crime and second chances

Central Michigan University’s School of Music will present “Carousel,” a popular opera theater production. “Carousel,” a Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, tells the story of a millworker and a barker at a carnival who fall in love.

Salma Ghanem, dean of the College of Communication and Fine Arts, will be performing in an acting role alongside the student performers.

“Carousel” will take place at 7:30 p.m. March 21 and 22 and 2 p.m. March 23 in the Music Building’s Staples Family Concert Hall. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $7 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available through Ticket Central at 989-774-3045 or online here.
