The annual Central Michigan University Spring Football Game will start at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

Before the game, the football team will host a free kid’s clinic, giving children the opportunity to receive instruction from players and staff, tour the locker room, and more. Registration for the clinic begins at 10 a.m. in the Indoor Athletic Complex adjacent to the stadium. The clinic will start at 10:30 a.m. At noon, families can participate in an Easter egg hunt and lunch in the Indoor Athletic Complex turf bay. Both events are free.

“It’s been a great event since I’ve been here — something I know our players and our coaches really enjoy,” Coach Dan Enos said. “Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we get a decent day on Saturday and get the kids outside and let our players interact with them.”

The spring game will allow Enos and his assistant coaches to see their players under game-like conditions. The Chippewas will open at home against Chattanooga on Thursday, Aug. 28.
