Mary Moran Hill, associate controller of financial services and reporting at Central Michigan University, has been named associate vice president of financial services and reporting-controller.
Hill has been with CMU since 1986 and in her current position since January 2013. In this role, she has directed the departments of treasury and investment services, accounting services, payroll and travel services, risk management/environmental health and safety, and finance information systems.
She previously served as CMU’s assistant controller of financial services, director of payroll and travel services, coordinator of management information systems, and manager of accounting services.
“Mary is a proven asset at CMU, contributing strong, insightful leadership in a way that builds collaboration,” said Barrie Wilkes, vice president of finance and administrative services. “She brings a depth of financial expertise that is possible only with years of service and dedication to the CMU campus.”
The associate vice president of financial services and reporting-controller serves as the primary administrator for financial activities in the Finance and Administrative Services Division. Hill will direct the administration, operation and direction of finance-related service units and will oversee the development and implementation of policies and practices relating to the financial operations of the university.
“I’ve been passionate about CMU since my first visit in 1980,” said Hill. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to share that passion on a broader scale and continue to positively impact the financial future of CMU.”
Hill earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA with an emphasis in tax accounting from CMU.
Her salary will be $164,022.
