Central Michigan University police have apprehended three suspects on felony charges in relation to several incidents of receiving and concealing stolen property.
CMU graduate student and former employee Cole McDonald was arrested December 19, 2013, on multiple counts of receiving and concealing stolen property. CMU police, who were investigating the recent theft of a large microscope from a biology lab, used technology to track McDonald and recover numerous items identified as stolen from the campus during the last 12 months.
In November, Justin Dudley of Rochester and his father Theodore Dudley were arrested on four counts of receiving and concealing stolen property after police executed search warrants at residences in Rochester and Mount Pleasant. The execution of the search warrants resulted in the recovery of five of six laptops stolen from the CMU Towers complex in November.
