Central Michigan University President Bob Davies has announced a search for the university's next executive vice president and provost, following the decision by current Executive Vice President and Provost Michael Gealt
to step down effective June 30, 2019.
President Davies appointed a 16-member committee to assist with the nationwide search. Consulting firm Witt/Keiffer will aid the committee.
As CMU's chief academic officer, the provost will play a significant role in managing the academic experience for students, setting the university's academic priorities and allocating resources to meet goals.
The campus community is invited to provide input on the leadership competencies and experience desired for an ideal candidate by attending one of two scheduled open forums.
The forums will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, in the Bovee University Center Rotunda.
Individuals who are unable to attend the open forums may submit comments to
email@example.com or may provide input anonymously using the online form below.
