COVID-19 Safety Measures and Ceremony Protocol

  • As of Saturday, May 15 at 9 AM, under the updated MDHHS Gatherings and Mask Order, individuals who are outdoors will no longer need to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
  • Graduates will be asked to wear a mask or face covering while indoors prior to the ceremony.
  • Only clear bags are permitted inside the stadium (no purses, backpacks, etc.). The Clear Bag Policy can be viewed here.
  • All attendees will be required to answer health screening questions and have temperature taken upon arrival.
  • All ceremonies are limited to 300 graduates.
  • Each graduate has a strict limit of four (4) guest tickets. Guests under three (3) years of age do not require a ticket.
  • All graduate and guest seating will be physically distanced.
  • In-person speakers and stage party members will be limited. All seating on stage is assigned and physically distanced.
  • Graduate name calling and stage crossing protocols:
    • Student will cross an ADA-compliant ramp as their name is called.
    • Students will pause on the ramp for a formal photo. 
    • Graduates will exit the stadium and not return to their seat after they cross the stage.
    • A second formal photo will be taken as the graduate is leaving the stadium. 
    • We will periodically pause during this portion of the ceremony and allow guests to leave if their graduate's name has been read.
