Class of 2020 Alternative Commencement Plans
At this time we are unable to celebrate the class of 2020 at a traditional commencement ceremony. We share your disappointment and extend our sincere apologies to
our graduates and their supporters. Every decision has been made to protect the
health and well-being of our community pursuant with guidance from the CDC and
the directives of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. To celebrate our graduates and provide them with the recognition they deserve, we will hold a virtual commencement ceremony as well as an in-person ceremony in May 2021.
Virtual Commencement Ceremony
Friday, May 22, 2020 at 6 p.m.
During the virtual commencement ceremony graduates will hear remarks from President Bob Davies and Dean George Kikano. Degrees will be conferred and there will be individual graduate recognition. All graduates will recite the Hippocratic Oath as a member of the medical profession. A link to the online event will be emailed to all graduates prior to the ceremony.
In Person Commencement Ceremony
May 2021 - Day and time to be determined
2020 graduates are invited to participate in a May 2021 commencement ceremony. If graduates are unable to attend, they may attend a future commencement ceremony. Details regarding the May 2021 commencement will be emailed to all graduates early next year.
