The investiture of a new president is an important and opportune time for celebration of a new vision, energy and era for an institution, and to formally introduce the president to the university, state and higher education communities.The investiture of a college or university president is a long-established tradition and serves as a formal induction into office. It is typically held during the president's first year in office or at the conclusion of the first year.Central Michigan University previously held ceremonies for Presidents William Boyd in 1969 and Edward Jakubauskas in 1988, our 7th and 10th presidents, respectively.‚Äč
