Capital City Internship Program (CCIP)

CIP_LogoCMU Government Relations, in partnership with the Honors Program office, maintains a Lansing internship program. Each semester, CMU students, representing various majors and grade levels, work in a variety of Legislative, Executive, and special interest offices. This is a tremendous opportunity for CMU students to learn the critical role government plays on campus and in our communities. We appreciate that many of our Capital Chippewa alumni serve as mentors for these interns, sharing their experiences and expertise through networking events throughout the semester. All students, regardless of major and year, are encouraged to apply.

  • Internships are available during the fall, spring, and summer semesters
  • Transportation, provided by CMU, and parking is available two days a week during the fall and spring semesters

Academic credit can also be obtained with approval from a faculty advisor.
