Sarah Case Equator in Ecuador.jpgEcuador is a small country with a lot to offer: the Andes Mountains, the Amazon Rain Forest, the Pacific Coast, the Galapagos Islands, and the Equator, as well as a diverse population of indigenous communities filled with culture, tradition, and history. Thankfully, Ecuador is small enough to make traveling simple, so I was able to travel all over the country during my nine-week stay. During my program, whenever I wasn't in class, I was out exploring the country or talking to my host mother. I went hiking in the mountains, swimming on the coast, whale watching, shopping, and exploring.

Adventures in Ecuador
Kaitlin Denton

I lived in Quito, Ecuador, for three months and I can honestly say that it was the best excperience of my life. I learned so much, met so many great people, experienced a ton of new things, and I will never be the same. I lived in an apartment building with my host family. I had two parents - Susan and Robert - and two little brothers who were 5 and 9 years old. This was one of my favorite parts.
