Study Abroad: Don't Regret Not Going
Dustin Sigsbee - The Hague, The Netherlands
Hi there. My name is Dustin. I recently visited the Netherlands through CMU's Study Abroad program. The specific program I participated in was based on international law and human rights, and was led by Dr. Hope May. We stayed in a town called Lieden, several minutes by train from the city of The Hague (home of the International Criminal Court).

Spring time in the Netherlands brings to mind monstrous amounts of unpredictable rain, the excitement of pulling the old rusty bikes out of hibernation, and, of course, Tulips! Waking up at 8 AM and rummaging around my bedroom for my rain coat and camera, two of the necessities I carried with me at all times, I ran out of my apartment flat afraid I already missed my bus to the world famous Keukenhof museum of flowers. With my umbrella in hand, and my favorite homemade Gouda cheese sandwich, I rushed to the bus stop where several other exchange students congregated, waiting to board the bus for our spring excursion.
