CMU joined the Generation Study Abroad challenge launched by the Institute for International Education (IIE). In an increasingly interconnected world, modern employers want employees who have an international perspective and cross-cultural skills. Study abroad is now an essential part of any university degree that will offer students the opportunity to acquire valued knowledge and skills that will enhance their education and give them an edge in the job market. In support of this campaign to increase the number of students who study abroad, we have made a pledge to double the number of participants at CMU by 2019.
