Thomas Weirich, School of Accounting
Dr. Thomas Weirich is a professor in the College of Business Administration’s School of Accounting. His decades of service include work on many university, college, and department committees. Dr. Weirich’s service to the Accounting profession has been recognized in many ways, including assignment as an Academic Accounting Fellow to the Office of the Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and an appointment by Michigan’s Governor to an eight-year term on the Michigan State Board of Accountancy, with four years as Chair. Dr. Weirich was also awarded the Distinguished Achievement in Accounting and Accounting Teaching Excellence awards by the Michigan Association of CPAs.
