Designing eLearning Workshop
The Designing eLearning Workshop provides insight for creating an effective online course. Participants will see various ways to structure an online class, understand how to present content to increase readership and interaction, learn methods for creating engaging videos, and be exposed to a variety of learning activity examples for online teaching and learning. The workshop is ideal for those who have never developed an online course but may also provide a ‘veteran’ developer a few new insights and tricks!

Fundamentals of Blackboard
Blackboard Learn®, CMU’s Learning Management System, is a robust teaching environment that provides many opportunities to supplement face-to-face, Hybrid, and HyFlex courses and facilitate full-scale online course delivery. This self-paced Fundamentals of Blackboard workshop introduces the skills necessary to be successful in the use of Blackboard as a tool for teaching both face-to-face and online courses. Open Education Resource Workshop
This workshop designed to inform CMU faculty about Open Educational Resources (OERs), teaches methods for searching and evaluating OER materials, and guides the instructor through the process of implementing open access resources into the classroom.

Online Teaching Experience
This self-paced workshop prepares faculty to succeed as online educators and instructors. It helps faculty understand CM’s expectations, policies procedures and support services available both to them and their students. This recorded training on SafeAssign, a plagiarism prevention tool within Blackboard, provides an overview as to what SafeAssign is and demonstrates how to set it up inside Blackboard. A primary focus is on helping instructors understand the results SafeAssign provides in the Originality Report and knowing how to interpret those findings.
