Undergraduate International Scholarships

General Merit Based Scholarship

​​​​International undergraduate students have the opportunity to receive a merit based scholarship.

Students who receive the President's Award scholarship​ will receive the resident (U.S.) tuition rate and save $8,928 per year if lower level or $9,144 per year if upper level (based on the 2019/2020 tuition rates for 24 credits per year). Students who meet the following requirements are eligible for the award. 

  1. Overall GPA of 3.3 or higher (on the US 4.0 scale)
  2. Proof of English proficiency
  3. Minimum of 30 college credit hours completed (incoming transfer students only)
There is no separate application for this award. Any student sponsored by their home country is not eligible for this award. 

Outside Scholarships

Students may use non-university affiliated community and private organization scholarships to help fund their studies. For more information on scholarships from sources outside CMU, please click here.

On Campus Employment
