What do you like most about CMU?
The ambiance. It is warm and friendly.

Did you face any culture shock (Academic, Personal, ...) when you arrived in CMU or in the United States?
Having to call faculty and staff by their first name; being invited to a birthday dinner and being expected to pay for my own food; using informal greeting (saying hi) to people in positions of authority (faculty, department chair, staff members).

What resources did you use here on campus to help overcome the challenges you mentioned above?
Park Library was a great place to find resources on different cultures.

Tell us about any hobbies or activities you enjoy.
Being a member of the Global Ambassador program; volunteering to be a mentor for the pathways program.

If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go and why?
Greece. Greek culture specifically seems very rich and interesting.

What advice would you give to International Students just arriving to CMU?
You are in a friendly and welcoming campus. Take advantage of this and step out of your comfort zone. Be open to learning new things and don't be afraid to ask questions.
