Graduate Costs

​​The following expenses are estimates only and reflect the minimum costs for a full course of study.  These costs change annually for all students.

2018-2019 costs​ 

Master's/Specialist's tuition - 

  • Non-US-Resident Tuition
    $15,300 (based on 18 credit hours per year at $850 per credit hour)
  • US-Resident Tuition
    $10,728 (based on 18 credit hours per year at $596 per credit hour) -
    *This rate applies if you receive the Out-of-State-Tuition Merit Award or a Graduate Assistantship

  • MBA & MSIS degree tuition -
    • This rate applies to all students
      $11,250 (based on 18 credit hours per year at $625 per credit hour)
  • Doctoral tuition - 
    • Non-US-Resident Tuition
      $16,920 (based on 18 credit hours per year at $940 per credit hour)
    • US-Resident Tuition
      $12,222 (based on 18 credit hours per year at $679 per credit hour)
      **This rate applies if you receive the Out-of-State-Tuition Merit Award or a Graduate Assistantship
  • Student Services Fee - $450 ($225 per semester)
  • Living expenses​ - $10,900​

Financial aid through CMU is not available to international students. However, you may qualify for the scholarships available

*PLEASE NOTE that all expenses have been calculated for an academic year consisting of two sixteen-week semesters (approximately nine months).

The United States government requires that Central Michigan University obtains verification of financial support from all students requesting Certificates of Eligibility (I-20s or DS-2019s).
