Live what you've learned

CMU’s mission statement includes a commitment to promoting diversity in its community. To realize this mission, members of the CMU community must respect cultural differences and their corresponding world views.

Everyone plays a role in creating this inclusive community. In order to respect a culture, one must have a working knowledge of the principal beliefs and values of that culture.

Consider attending events such as Native American Heritage Month activities and the annual CMU Powwow. Increasing your understanding of indigenous cultures, traditions, and wisdom will help you to better appreciate Native American people and what it means to be a CMU Chippewa.
