MI GEAR UP/4S Pathways at Central Michigan
University has partnered with The Facing Project to tell a set of stories told by first generation students, staff, and alumni of CMU. Participants, of our project entitled First Generation: Facing College, share their experiences being the first to face college.
The Facing Project a country wide endeavor that
began in Muncie, Indiana where writers collaborate with storytellers to speak
about their personal journeys. Each Facing Project theme is selected by the
area or school based upon a relevant topic in their community. The idea is that
everyone is facing something from addiction to mental illness to racism. Click here to learn more about The Facing Project.
