Chipcast is CMU's video platform, powered by Panopto, that enables all faculty, students, and staff to record, upload, edit, manage, and share video.
All CMU users follow the same process to record, upload, edit, and share video. Whether its a faculty member recording instruction or a student submitting a video assignment, the tutorials below are applicable to everyone.
Record, Upload, and Share a Narrated Presentation on a Mac or PC
Upload Existing Video Files (mp4,mov,wmv) from a Mac or PC
Record & Share Video from Mobile Device or Point-and-shoot camera
Student Video Assignments:
Faculty looking to have students submit videos for an assignment should post the how-to links (see above) in their Bb shell to guide student processes for recording, uploading, and obtaining a link to their video. Then have students paste their video links into your Bb shell in either a discussion board (if needed for peer-review purposes) or in an assignment text field (for faculty-only access to the videos).
