Desktop Configuration Management

Desktop Configuration Management is a service offering from OIT for use by technical support staff both within OIT and by departmental technicians. It leverages a centralized infrastructure for standardizing the configuration settings on desktop computers and automating hardware and software inventory.  This service is only available for Windows desktops and laptops currently.

Getting Started
The SCCM tool is available with a base level of functionality. Local department customizations and a review process for those customizations are part of the service offering.  Workstations with SCCM installed can manage site licensed software through Software Center.  Departmental technicians interested in leveraging SCCM for the computers they manage can submit a request through the Help Desk.
