Windows System Administration

OIT utilizes Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to apply monthly patches to Windows-based desktops and servers. While the patch creation and publication process is centralized, the decision to push patches out to specific groups of computers may be delegated local technical staff in colleges and business units who are better aware of availability requirements. SCCM also assists by providing robust reporting to assist in meeting the new patching requirements published by SIRT.
