Telephone - Placing a Call from On-Campus

When placing a call from on-campus, it is necessary to follow certain guidelines. Read below for instructions on how to do so.

NOTE: There will not be a second dial tone after dialing 9 for off-campus calls. To assure yourself of disconnection of a long distance call, hold down the switch hook for five seconds before placing your next call. Otherwise, your first call will be placed on hold and you will continue to be billed for that call.

General Call-Placing Instructions
