The Common Data Set ( CDS) results from a collaborative effort among the higher education community and college guide publishers. Essentially, the CDS is a predominantly quantitative, mini-factbook.

The Peer Instution Strategic Indicators Comparison report offers a comparison of CMU benchmark statistics to other, similar institutions. Topics include: enrollment, student outcomes, financial indicators, and more.

The CMU Factbook was compiled by the Office of Institutional Research, whose primary mission is to monitor and analyze internal and external data, and to present information that aids planning, decision-making, and policy formulation at CMU.
