Marnie Roestel is the Manager of eLearning Delivery & Support, a unit that ensures needed online structures and resources are in place for successful online teaching and learning.
eLearning Delivery & Support provides support to faculty teaching online as well as performs course management functions such as monitoring wait lists and enrollment levels in courses as well as overseeing proctored exam processes including passcode generation and dissemination, approving proctors and administering proctored exams to students.
In close partnership with the Center for Instructional Design, eLearning Delivery & Support completes updates to online courses due to the release of a new edition of the book and procures associated course materials and textbooks with vendor partners.
Marnie is a proud CMU alum and has been overseeing the delivery of CMU’s online courses and programs since 2009. She created the Online Learning Resource Center to help students new to online learning understand the skills, both learning and technical, needed to successful learners in the online classroom. She further expanded these student resources by authoring such items as a best practices in eCommunication guide, Group Project Success Tips, Expectations of eLearning information sheet and the Ten Myths of Online Learning. Marnie has presented on online course development and delivery to CMU’s Board of Trustees and Academic Senate, as well as at regional, national and international conferences.
