Consultation Session Guide

​Please reference this checklist in preparation for your consultation session with Academic Development. It is a guide for the type of information that will be sought for the program being proposed and help with the efficient collection of relevant and reliable data. 

About the Program

  • Program summary (name, credit hours, etc.)
  • Purpose of the program (i.e. to equip graduate with the knowledge and skills needed to…)
  • Existing courses/new courses to be a part of the program
  • Admission requirements (i.e. GPA, specific degree, hours complete, work experience, etc.)
  • Program requirements (i.e. required courses, GPA, internship or project, etc.)
  • Enrollment goal for years 1 through 5
  • Delivery modality (face-to-face, fully online, blended)
  • Relationship to other programs currently offered at CMU

Audience Profile

  • Type of student most interested in program [Main campus, post traditional, international, First Time in Any College (FTIAC), working professional, recent graduate, Career-Changers, Other]
  • Geographic location of target students [Michigan, Great Lakes, Midwest, Specific States, Nationwide, International]
