Sarah began working for CMU as a student employee for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning's precursor, the Learning Technologies Group. Already a well-respected team member, she accepted a staff position following graduation in 2007.
Often found behind the scenes, Scoby is the puppeteer that coordinates of all of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning's events, workshops, trainings, and most of all, the Great Lakes Conference on Teaching and Learning
. She is heavily involved in a variety of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning's electronic and print communication efforts and also manages the center's website.
Her previous work experience includes working in K-12 education, where she spent time implementing classroom technology, producing videos, organizing training programs, and coordinating public relations for a school district.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband, Paul, have two children, Brenton and Anna. She also enjoys volunteering at her church, trips to the beach, golfing, and watching her kids play sports in her spare time.
