Biography

Dr. Basheer S. Sufyan DMSc, MSBS, PA-C was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan. He received his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude (top 1%) and was a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship. Dr. Sufyan attended the University of Toledo Physician Assistant (PA) Program and graduated with a Master of Science in Biomedical Science. He also completed his Doctor of Medical Science at the University of Lynchburg in the advanced practice of Emergency Medicine.

As a clinically practicing PA in the Lansing area, Dr. Sufyan is a full-time fixed term faculty member in PA program at Central Michigan University where he teaches related to infectious diseases, clinical medicine, anatomy, and diagnostic tests. As a leader in education and the clinical practice of medicine, he brings into the classroom real world cases that are used to promote learning the core of which is evidence-based medicine.
