Biography

Joe Green teaches in our Master of Entrepreneurial Ventures program. His courses include: ENT 630, Seed Financings & Securities Regulation; ENT 670, Venture Capital; and, ENT 690, Entrepreneurial Acquisitions & Exits.

Joe also serves as a Research Fellow in our Entrepreneurship Department. He has authored several articles on startup and finance-related topics, legal technology, and the future of the legal industry. He also speaks regularly on these topics at industry and academic conferences – and his work has been cited by SEC commissioners and staff on numerous occasions.

Joe lives and works in New York, where he is Counsel and Director of Client Experience at Gunderson Dettmer. In his current and prior roles at Gunderson, Joe gained extensive experience counseling emerging growth companies, founders, and executives on a wide range of legal and business issues from formation to exit. He also advised premier venture capital firms and angel investors. Before returning to Gunderson, he was Senior Legal Editor, Startups & Venture at Thomson Reuters Practical Law. Joe started his legal career as a securities attorney with Simpson Thacher in New York.
